Transactions in the online store
You can shop in our online store if you are over 18 years old. After placing the order and accepting the order and delivery conditions, you will receive a binding order confirmation to the e-mail address you provided with the order.
The service provider reserves the right not to accept the order. The subscriber is responsible for the use of his own account and password and for their careful storage. The subscriber undertakes to provide the correct information in connection with the order.
The content of the online store (including drawings, images, sounds, films, graphics and text) is the property of Kalevala and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property rights. The user does not have the right to download, modify, transfer, transmit, copy or sell the content of the online store or part of it without prior written permission from Kalevala. The user has the right to print and download these terms and conditions for his personal use. The terms of use of Kalevala's website also apply to the online store.
Payment methods
Payment is made on the order confirmation page using the payment intermediary services of Shopify Payments, Paytrail or Klarna. The available payment methods are:
- Credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express)
- Online banks (Danske Bank, Nordea, Aktia, OP, Savings Bank, S-Bank)
- Mobile payment methods (Pivo, MobilePay, Siirto)
- Klarna Invoice and Installment Services
In the Kalevala online store, all payment connections are protected with SSL encryption. When paying with Visa Electron, the Verified by Visa service for online payments must be activated. All credit card payments are verified and if the verification is not successful, the Kalevala online store reserves the right to reject the order.
For an online bank payment, you need the usernames provided by your bank.
Tariff
The price of the product is the price that is displayed for the product at the time of ordering in the online store. The service provider reserves the right not to accept the order e.g. if there are changes in the availability of the product or if there is a clear price error in the pricing of the product (e.g. if the price of the product is missing).
Delivery and handling costs for domestic deliveries are €5.90 per order. Pickup orders from the store are free. The costs are shown in the shopping cart.
For DHL Express deliveries abroad, order-specific delivery and handling costs are charged as follows: €15 (intra-EU deliveries) and €25 (outside-EU deliveries).
If the products are delivered outside the EU, the user is responsible for possible customs, import or other fees. Customs clearance practices vary from country to country. For more information, please contact your local customs office. If the product has to be cleared by customs, the customer is responsible for all related costs and understands that customs clearance may cause a delay in the original delivery time estimate.
Delivery time
Kalevala processes incoming orders within two (2) working days. The delivery time depends on the product, its availability, the chosen delivery method and the delivery address.
The delivery methods that can be selected for domestic deliveries are:

Pick-up from Posti package point
The package will be delivered to the selected Posti parcel machine within 1-3 business days of the order, and the Customer will be sent a text message with the code to open the compartment when the package is available for pickup. The parcel can be picked up from the parcel machine during the opening hours of the selected machine with the compartment opening code.
- Pickup from R-Kiosk
The package will be delivered to the selected R-Kiosk location within 1-3 business days of the order, and the Customer will be sent a text message when the package is available for pickup. The package can be picked up during R-Kiosk's opening hours by proving your identity. - Package to the door
Posti delivers the package directly to the home within 1-3 business days of the order (delivery by 2 p.m.) and hands it over to the Customer personally. If the Orderer cannot be reached, a collection notice is left for the Orderer and the package is transferred to the nearest Posti office, where it can be picked up during Posti's opening hours by proving their identity.

The package will be delivered to the Kalevala Jewelry store located on Pohjoisesplanadi in the center of Helsinki within 1-2 business days of the order, and the Customer will be sent a text message when the package is available for pickup. You can pick up the package during store opening hours by proving your identity.

International deliveries are made using the DHL Express service and the delivery time depends on the destination country, usually the delivery time is a few days.
When Kalevala mails the order, the Subscriber receives a link to the e-mail address he provided with the order to track the progress of the order. Shipments are insured.
If the delivery of the product is significantly delayed, Kalevala's customer service will contact the Customer via the email address provided with the order. Kalevala reserves the right to deliver the products ordered at the same time separately if necessary.
If the product does not arrive within a reasonable time frame and the customer service of the Kalevala online store has not contacted the Customer, please contact our customer service at info@kalevala.fi or tel. 0207 611 230.
Kalevala reserves the right to refuse the order if necessary. In such a case, the payment will be returned to the customer within 30 days.
Customer register
Kalevala Jewelry's customer register stores a person who has registered as a regular customer of Kalevala, or bought products from our website or store. In addition, the register contains people who ordered the newsletter from our website.
Warranty
All Kalevala Jewelry products have a warranty for manufacturing defects. The warranty does not cover defects related to normal use and wear. The warranty also does not cover defects that can be considered caused by careless handling of the jewelry. Jewelry care instructions can be found on the jewelry care instructions page.
Order cancellation and product returns
If you want to cancel your order and the order has not yet been delivered, the customer must contact Kalevala's customer service by email. The e-mail must state the subscriber's name, address and order number. Kalevala will return the payment for the canceled order within 14 days.
The customer has the right to return or exchange the product within 14 days of receiving it. This right of return does not apply to products that have been manufactured or modified according to the customer's special wishes.
The customer has the right to return the product in the following cases:
(i) The order has been canceled in accordance with these order and delivery conditions by notifying Kalevala's customer service at info@kalevala.fi within 14 days of receiving the product or the product has been returned in accordance with Kalevala's return instructions within 14 days of delivery;
(ii) the product is in the same condition as it was when delivered and all delivered parts are included in the package;
(iii) the product is packed in its original packaging.
The product must be returned to Kalevala as soon as possible after the cancellation, using Kalevala's return transport instructions. Any damages that may have occurred to the product during the return delivery are the responsibility of the returner. Regarding domestic returns, if the return incurs costs for the Customer, Kalevala will reimburse them at the same time as paying the price of the returned product back to the customer. The refund is made after the returned product has arrived at Kalevala and its condition has been checked, no later than 14 days after the product's arrival at Kalevala.
If the product is defective or damaged during shipment, the customer must notify Kalevala's customer service as soon as the defect is noticed. Kalevala tries to replace the defective product with a new one, but if this is not possible, Kalevala will refund the amount paid to the customer, including the price of the product and shipping costs. Reimbursement is made after the fault has been verified. It is recommended that the customer contact Kalevala's customer service if they wish to receive more detailed instructions on the matter.
Changing Terms
Kalevala reserves the right to change the online store, its practices and order and delivery conditions at any time. If the terms are changed, Kalevala will announce the change on the Terms of Use page of the online store. The amended terms and conditions apply to orders placed after the change has been announced.
Obstacle force majeure
Kalevala is not responsible for delays or damages caused by an obstacle beyond its control, which it could not have reasonably foreseen or the consequences of which it cannot avoid. Such an overwhelming obstacle (force majeure) is considered e.g. fires, industrial action, wars, natural disasters, interventions by authorities, disruptions in transport, subcontractors, equipment, software, browser or network connection.
Responsibilities
Kalevala is not responsible for indirect damages unless they are caused by willful violation or gross negligence.
Applicable law and possible disputes
These terms and conditions have been drawn up in compliance with Finnish law. Any disputes will be resolved in Finland, in the district court of Helsinki.
If the disagreement regarding the sales contract cannot be resolved through negotiations between the parties, the consumer can refer the matter to the Consumer Disputes Board .
Before taking the case to the Consumer Disputes Board, the consumer must contact the magistrates' consumer advisory service .
These terms of order and use apply to Kalevala Koru Oy's online store at www.kalevala.fi. When ordering products from Kalevala's online store, the user agrees to these conditions.
